Galipán

North of Caracas, in the Avila National Park, is a small town known as "Galipan". The first settlers, coming from the Canary Islands, arrived here more than 200 years ago. The ascent to Galipán starts in Caracas, through Cotiza. After a few minutes there is a park ranger station where you must pay a small entrance fee to the national park. Afterwards, you will reach a parking lot for those who want to continue walking to "Los Venados", one of the most pleasant places in the park. When you reach the well-known "Boca 'e tigre" the pavement ends and there is a fork that leads to San José de Galipán. 💡Curiosities: In San Isidro de Galipán, you get to a bodega where you can get groceries and, more importantly, the famous sandwiches of pernil with strawberry or blackberry juice. There are also some horses that can be rented for the little ones to take a ride.
