Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar

This work was created as an extension of the National Pantheon. The dimension of this building shows its highest point since it reaches 54 meters in height, eight meters higher than the Pantheon tower. In the Mausoleum, visitors can observe the sarcophagus guarded by the monument of El Libertador, which covers a space of 2,000 square meters, with capacity to receive up to 1,500 people. 💡Curiosities: This work was executed at the initiative of Hugo Chávez, who announced its construction in 2010 after the exhumation of the remains of the Father of the Homeland to determine the causes of his death.
